THE ONE AND ONLY
by Sashanah Decayette

The autumn leaves
The enchanting seas
A resemblance to you
Do you believe it too?

The sand on the beach
The sweet taste of peach
A resemblance to you
Do you believe it too?

The smell of blooming flowers
The miracles of God’s powers
A resemblance to you
Do you believe it too?

The smile of a human being
The ruling of a King and Queen
A resemblance to you
Do you believe it too?

MY ANGEL, MY TREASURE AND MY LIFE
by Sashanah Decayette

Throughout my dark and gloomy days, you are my light
You are the treasure that I seek through the night
A King held with such value, your skin made of gold
You are the warmth I need when I feel so cold

Your beauty, only an angel like you could hold
Honestly, it seems so hard to unfold
Your presence, a cure for my pain
Like how the sun shines its way through the rain

Looking through the glass
Watching the sunset, as the clouds leisurely pass
I think of you
Creating such a peaceful feeling, just like flowers do

You are not evil, you are sweet
You are also wise and very elite
You are my one true love
And to me, you are just like a beautiful singing dove

HARMONY
by Sashanah Decayette

Let us come together
and pray for one another
Let us sing a song
and all join along

Attach yourselves to the chain
and never let go
Bring yourselves as one
until the day is done

IF
by Malcolm O. Varner

If I can keep my eyes focused on what’s ahead, And allow what’s behind me to simply be dead – Then I will make it.

If I can keep a firm grip on the present elements in my hand, And wisely position my feet so that I always stand – Then I will make it.

If I can accept that rocky ground and steep climbs Are necessary obstacles to be conquered with patience and time - Then I will make it.

If I can muster my strength to keep pressing on, Especially in times when it seems I’m being baked by the sun – Then I will make it.

If I can learn to crucify my pride,
By praying for strength and allowing my friends to stand at my side – Then I will make it.

If I can fully embrace the good that’s inside, Relinquishing fear, doubt, and shame, so it can shine – Then I will make it.

If I can do all of these things one day at a time, Knowing that I’m not perfect, and that being fine – Then I will make it.

THINK ABOUT YOUR LIFE
by Debbie Bongiovanni

You need to think about your life,
Think about the road to be taken,
Think about everything you want to do,
And make sure you're not mistaken.

If you are not sure of the way to go,
Talk to God and he will guide you,
You will see that he is right,
And you will be happy too.

He has all of the answers,
And he has all of the plans,
Just relax and let it happen,
And put it in his hands.

You will see a big difference,
Your life will change for the best,
And you can thank that man above,
And now you are very blessed.

TOUCH SOMEONE'S LIFE
by Debbie Bongiovanni

You can touch someone's life,
Just by what you say or do,
It's nice to be able to do that,
And I'm going to do it too.

It might be by an act of kindness,
Or just by something we say,
It really doesn't matter what it is,
Because it will sure make their day.

So try to touch someone's life,
And show them your love,
Then you will be blessed in so many ways,
From our Lord and Savior above.

HAVE A GOOD ATTITUDE
by Debbie Bongiovanni

Have a good attitude about things,
Just smile each and every day,
Then when you do you will see,
That things will go your way.

A good attitude is important,
It will prevent a lot of strife,
Then people will like you,
And you'll have a very good life.

WE'RE ONE OF GOD'S CHILDREN
by Debbie Bongiovanni

We're all one of God's children,
And he takes care of us in many ways,
And he'll continue to do that,
In the remaining days.

Sometimes we might not believe that,
Because we're put through so much pain,
But he knows it's for the best,
Because we'll have more to gain.

So if you need his help,
You must truly believe,
You are one of God's children,
And you truly will receive.

WE HANG ON BY A THREAD
Debbie Bongiovanni

We sometimes hang on by a thread,
Because of what we're going through,
We feel like we're helpless,
And we just don't know what to do.

Then we are sent a message,
From the great man above,
He tells us to believe in him,
Because he will send us his love.

He will help us,
But you need to talk to him,
He will guide you the right way,
Even if things look grim.

So look up to the heavens,
Your answer will be right there,
Just give him a chance,
Because he really does care.

THE BLESSED
Jamal Abboud

Thou art proud by heritage of thy birth,
Close to heaven and above low earth,

Thou thrive wisely, a graceful wallflower,
A perennial beauty on ancient high tower,

Persuasive bleeding heart of inimitable feat,
Avoiding by thy nature the blind tyrant feet,

Patiently watching in silence of sweet scent,
That ruefully whiffs above my transient bent;

And confidently whispers to my broken shade,
Where with thy poor siblings, in sorrow, I fade,

A body of love wreath without height or weight.
Thus awareness of some species come bitterly late,

When destination of these are decided by hate
Before birth, condemned to be perished on earth,

Even though, thou fill my sighs with hopeful breath,
I scarcely can hereafter rise to celebrate thy strength.
