The Weaver's Loom
by Jesse Bermudez

Even though we seem to be made from different fabrics, cut and sewn into different patterns,
We all have a common thread running through us that holds us all together.
Winding thread on the warping board, removed gently by caring hands.
Harnesses lifted by treadles, are tied to and by.

Working the colors of the yarn, into rich and beautiful fabric,
The weaver paints the pattern, of each and everyone’s life.
With fiber and texture, structure and motion, the colors seem to take over the work,
Making each piece from the weavers loom, a fabric of great price.

And then a drop of blood is shed, freely given never taken,
For the life of all the creatures on earth, is in the substance of the blood.
And this has been given freely to us for the atonement of our sins,
To all who will accept His blood, their sin remembered no more.

SECRETS
by Shaun Ellise Jackson

Relief.
The overwhelming burden controlling each thought and emotion, finally released.
No longer living with paranoia- letting the snickers shape my insecurities and the whispers control my personalities.

Freedom.
Living without guilt and consequence. Regret, accept, and understand.
The voluntary tale told as the next step to recovery.

Healing.
Moving on with life, a biography still being written.
Rereading the disclosed chapter of what was and what were, but will no longer be.

THE PRESENCE OF TIME
By Josie Parrelli

Where the clocks are beating
The journey starts
Time
Life is a sense of timing
Who we meet, who we see
What we do
Each step we take
Guides us upon our path
Confused, we question
The clock keeps beating
With no rhythm or rhyme
That’s where the confusion has started
We fear the clock beating
As if it’s a mocking call
Eyeing your every move seeing your falls
Be still in the moment, the clocks are not your foe
They are beating
In your rhythm
Your time
For the clock beats differently for all of us
Our steps, our journey
The presence of time is your friend
Listen to it, hear the beats
Dance
For when the time hits
You realise that the clock was always beating
In your time, your tune
Sing
For the presence of time is never to be feared
Never to be questioned; never to be argued with
Listen to it, hear the beats
Hear the melody, sing the song
Strum the beats
For within the melody is where your destiny lies
Believe and trust
For the presence of time
Is a gift, unique to us
This is Your Life Purpose
For here is where your story is told

MORNING SUNSHINE
by Mark Victor Hayden

Wake up in the morning to see the Sun shining .
Giving the people Hope that we will survive another Day.
Some-time's we become lost With the time's.
The world is Turning to fast. but we will find The love that we are searching for.
The darkness going around the Ghetto street's.
We turn to the Lord to keep us safe.
I know that we suffer from the pain's of the World.
Nothing stand's in the way of unity for all people.
A day where we all can rejoice and live out the dream.

LIFE IS A LESSON
by Lazola Pambo

The world is an oyster for all
Young children and elderly folks
Whenever hitting the brick wall
One should fight,pull their socks
Nothing falls down from the sky
Man should live,not miserably die

There are dreams in our minds
Waiting to spring out in reality
Dare not close the living blinds
Which rejuvenates our own sanity
People on earth are a blessing
And striving in life is a lesson

THE END
by Ernest Lola

They say that the end is near,
That we should all run in fear;
Reconcile to the forgotten past,
Ask forgiveness for one last time;
As the world could no longer last,
And as the world could not spare a dime;
Where volcanoes devastates as it erupt,
Where the people embodies corruption;
Where tsunamis barge in to interrupt,
Ceasing thousands of conflicting lives;
Raining an all-out stretch of acid rains,
Where the droplets becomes deadly knives;
Where kings are no longer praised,
Where it is HIM that reigns;
But is this really the definition of end???
End for all those stained,
And heaven for all those raised;
I guess this can be right,
If we don't stand and fight;
Fight for the lives of our generation,
For all that we now know;
It is greed that we show,
Killing HUMANITY at its feet;
Killing all the good that we meet,
If all of this be contemplated;
It is the end that we have reflected,
To see the ends of days,
Isn't really the end as everyone says;
Merely just a stamp of fear,
That the humanity has to hear.

THE WIND BLOWS
by Mark Victor Hayden

Watch the wind blow as my eye's begin to cry.
People have no place to live.
Living in a world of insanity.
Talking about love, where can you find love?
They die alone from starvation.
Where is the dream that we used to share?
The time's are are moving fast.
We will bring the people together.
Protest in the streets with our brothers.
Showing the world the way toward's a brighter day.
Should heaven's Rainbow ever shine.
Let it shine In places where there's no hope
Bringing about a beautiful day.

TRAGEDY
by Dipesh Khanal

Beneath the bough
Under the shadow
Watching the cattle over the meadow
Inside my soul, something’s cold
Blind; I m what my eyes behold
Oh my lord what a tragedy
Being on this threshold
Being on this threshold

Everything seems doomed
If only I'm fine
Have this tragedy zoomed
Still under the shadow
Not this time
Under the bough
But the shadow’s yours; that
I could never get rid of
Never get rid of
Oh my lord how could it
Be a tragedy, a tragedy

Adhered to you and the moments
Can’t go away for long
Nowhere I do go
Babble this song
Oh my lord; the
Tragedy I’m embellished
Know your all diddy things
Give away all my love
Lost all of my cares
Exquisite you were
A ninny I was
Left into pieces
Under the shadow
Along the tragedies

Beneath the bough
Under the shadow
Beneath the bough
Under the shadow
The tragedy I only know

WHAT YOU DIDN'T SEE
by April Grisham

When I was 5 years old
My grandfather died
He was my favorite person
I wanted to run and hide

Then my parents got divorced
1988 was the year
I didn't understand it
That was the first time I felt fear

A couple years then passed
They both decided to re-marry
I then had 2 step-parents
And that was kinda scary

It seemed we all were happy
After everything settled down
I really didn't want to
But we moved out of town

I started a new school
And adjusted right away
I made lots of friends
And my fear began to fade

Then one Wednesday morning
On a cold day in November
Tragedy struck my school
A day I'll always remember

He walked into my school
And shot 2 teachers and my friend
It changed our lives forever
The fear creeped in again

At first I was in shock
Just trying to get by
The next thing I knew
I was getting high

I found relief for a moment
I thought I'd found the answer
Then we got the news
My baby brother had brain cancer

I didn't know what to do
I just broke down and cried
In the Chapel of the hospital
Screaming at God, "Why?!"

"God, isn't it enough
To lose my best friend
For my parents to split up
When will it ever end?!"

So I became very angry
I just wanted to be numb
I didn't want to hurt anymore
I threw my hands up and said, "I'm done!"

My brother went through treatment
And did really well
He went into remission
But my life was going to hell

I was going to be a mom
So I finally got clean
I thought I was done forever
But that was just a dream

Soon after I had my son
The darkness fell again
The doctors prescribed me pills
And they became my best friend

It just got worse and worse
I became empty inside
Screaming, "God, where are you?!"
And still got no reply

Then one day I looked at my son
And cried and hung my head
I knew at that moment
One day he'd find me dead

So, I reached over to the table
And picked up my phone
I finally realized
I couldn't do it on my own

So I went to get help
And get my life back on track
Then we found out
My brother's cancer was back

We all were really shocked
It hurt me to my core
But I stayed determined
To not get high anymore

2 years and 2 months later
And God just spoke to me
He said, "Listen to Me, child
This is what you didn't see"

"I know that it hurt you
When your father left your mother
But had that not happened
You wouldn't have your little brother"

"And when the school shooting happened
I was holding your hand
I had My reasons for allowing it
But some things you just can't understand"

"And your brother's fight with cancer
I know has caused you great pain
But I need soldiers like him
To bring Glory to My Name"

"And I know it has been hard on you
Battling addiction
But I allowed you that battle
To help others with that affliction"

"Child, I know you've been through a lot
But what you didn't see
Is all the pain and every battle
Led you straight to Me"

TRUE FRIENDSHIP
by Shravanthi.S.Sathya

Your beautiful eyes give me strength
to fight all the difficulties of my life.
Your friendly smile give me interest to live.
Your loving hug give me energy to bear the cold of long winters.
Your sad cry bring tears in my eyes
and your kindness makes me love you more and more.
